Primary purpose of the job :
Lead a team of Overhead Crane Technicians in carrying out daily Overhead Crane maintenance activities associated with the LNG Process Train, Offsite Facilities, Utilities and Off-Plot Facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Leads a team of Overhead Crane Technicians in Maintaining all OHC in the Plant. Provides Technical expertise in critical jobs requiring analytical skills with minimum or no supervision.
- Well-versed with all the troubleshooting and Maintenance techniques such as hoisting Motor /brake, Hoisting limit switch adjustment, Rope drum / guide / clamps / anchorage maintenance,
- Rope sheaves, Overhead trolley, couplings, Crane block, Hook, Hoist, etc.
- Understand and performs Pre-check inspection, Safe working practices and inspection checklist.
- Familiarity with Overhead crane Operation and Maintenance. Operation: a very broad category relating to safe crane operation
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Support Company EHS and Quality policies and programs and implement all OH&S procedures and practices.
- Provide feedback about the effectiveness of the implemented corrective and preventive measures
- Reports all Near Misses, Incidents and Accidents during operation
- The prompt reporting of deficiencies in risk control measures, including those arising from changes in working conditions, staffing levels and change in equipment condition.
- Understanding and using the components of load chart and range diagrams Experience, Knowledge and skills :
- Educational Qualifications: Minimum Higher Secondary School Education
Relevant Work Experience: A minimum of 8 years work experience. A minimum of 5 years at Oil and LNG Plant or Petrochemical plant environment
English Language Skills: Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Trade Certificate / Specialized Trainings: Hold a valid certificate of competence, issued by an internationally recognized body. Job Specific Requirements: - knowledge of (but not limited to) inspection, wire rope, rigging accessories, rigging appliances, understands ASME 30.5 (wire rope and criteria) and Determine the defective parts by proper inspection.
- Must have extensive experience operating overhead crane and practical knowledge and more importantly, familiarity with equipment for about five years depending on model and year of manufacture.
- Identifying parts and functionality required for a particular lifting. Provides solution and
recommendation If parts can still be reusable - Read and full understand detail or reference of an overhead crane manual book. Able to contribute in Periodic preventive maintenance planning.
- Has practical knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of different types of OHC equipment.
- Familiar with International / standard lifting signal knowledge. Lifting hazards identification.
