Job Purpose :
Carry out daily rigging activities associated with the LNG Process Train, Offsite Facilities, Utilities and Off-Plot Facilities.
Duties and responsibilities :
- Familiar with the use of basic and advanced rigging hardware. To determine tools for lifting /shifting of loads.
- Align, level and anchor of machinery.
- Identifying lifting gears required for particular lifting.
- Determine the defective lifting gears by proper inspection.
- Read and understand mobile crane load chart. Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.
- Understand the International / standard lifting signals.
- Signal or verbally direct equipment operators in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.
- Control movement of heavy equipment using chain falls and other equipment.
- Remove and install Crane fly jib, Pencil and wire rope.
- Operate Hydraulic skidding equipment and Hydraulic Bundle Puller.
- Lifting hazards identification.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Provide feedback about the effectiveness of the implemented corrective and preventive measures
- Reports all Near Misses, Incidents and Accidents during operation
- Works with the complexities of a multi-cultural and multi-national environment
Experience Knowledge and skills :
Educational Qualifications: Minimum Higher Secondary School Education
Relevant Work Experience: A minimum of 5 years work experience of sling loads and a minimum of 3years in Oil & Gas Plant or LNG Plant or Petrochemical plant environment. Certificate of competence, issued by a recognized body.
English Language Skills: Basic written and oral communication skills in English.
Trade Certificate / Specialized Trainings:
- Hold a valid certificate of competence, issued by an internationally recognized body as a rigger.
Job Specific Requirements: - Conversant with API RP 2D ( applicable to offshore and as a guide for onshore activities), ASME B30.9 Slings, BS 7121 Part 2&3 Standard Knowledge
