Scaffolder (OFFSHORE)

Primary purpose of the job :

To carry out survey, erect, dismantle scaffolding in plants.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• To ensure safe procedures and job is carried out as per JSA.
• To understand the procedure of safe scaffold and follow the procedure for the erection and dismantling of scaffolding at offshore.
• To ensure all PPE’s are used.
• To erect, dismantle scaffolding in running plants, shutdowns as per requirement at offshore.
• To check the quality of pipes, planks, clamps used.
• Proper storage of scaffolding materials.                                                                                                                              Experience, Knowledge and skills :
• Educational Qualifications: Minimum Higher Secondary School Education.
  Relevant Work Experience:
• Class-A Certified Scaffolders training certificate by Qatar Gas approved certifying authority. This has to be approved by Qatar Gas Scaffold Supervisor.
• A minimum of 5 years work experience with a minimum of 3 years at Oil and LNG Plant or Petrochemical plant environment.
• English Language Skills: Basic oral communication skills in English.
• Trade Certificate / Specialized Trainings: Certified Riggers / Slingers training certificate by Qatar Gas approved certifying authority. In-house or third party training (basic scaffolding rection) by trainer certified to Construction skills/CISRS.
• Job Specific Requirements:
• Work at height training including Rescue trained at height.
• HDA Helideck emergency response team member (HERTM).
• Fire Fighting training.
• H2S / HUET Trained and Certified.
• Qatar Gas Work Management /PTW Trained and certified
• Job Specific Requirement : Proficient in the preparation, erecting and dismantling the scaffolding material. Knowledge of various scaffolding material types and applications.
• Maintain effective communication within the team and with supervisor.
• A strong focus on safety is paramount and practical know-how of permit to work systems and lock out procedures applicable to LNG / Petrochemical plants is required.
• Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and costumes.
• Ensures that all scaffolding equipment is maintained in good working order In line with the QG Scaffolding procedures.
